The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.
John 10:10-12
Satan’s big business is to steal the Word from your heart so that he can kill and destroy you.
The devil is jealous of Christians; If he can steal the Word from you, he has stolen LIFE [ZOE—the life of God] from you.
But the devil cannot steal from you unless you permit him. You’ve got authority to stand against the enemy in the name of Jesus.
God wants you to have an overflowing life –a life that overflows with peace, joy, money, health, courage and much more.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Luke 4:18-19
When the enemy comes against you with suggestions, you ought to overcome him with the Word.
As a Christian, deliverance is not something you pray for—Jesus has already delivered you from the clutches of the enemy; you have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and conveyed into the Kingdom of Light. All you need to enforce your deliverance is the Word of God—the Word of God is anointed to set you free.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12
Don’t be ignorant of the devices of the devil—fight the good fight of faith by confessing the Word always regardless of what you see and how you feel. The words of your mouth are the most important words in your life. Your life is a product of your words.
The fight of faith is a good fight because you always win.
Grace is imparted to you as you speak the Word. You are in charge. Angels are waiting for you to decree—they act when you speak the Word of God. Demons are also waiting for you to decree—they act when you make negative confessions. The power of life and death is in your tongue—your words.
When you know your right as a child of God, you will be very cautious of your words; you will not let anything or anyone provoke you into making negative confessions. You can confess your way out of any mess.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12
Your fight is not against other human beings.
No problem you encounter is too big for you to handle—God wouldn’t let any problem come against you that you cannot handle in Jesus name. when you lean on God, you are majority—you will overcome the devil.
You must be deliberate about who you listen to and the kind of books you read. The devil will manifest wherever fear is preached.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
The devil doesn’t care about anyone. He’s a trickster—if you let him use you, he will ultimately destroy you. Watch out for ingratitude—the moment you become unthankful, you are going down.
The battle of life is in the mind. The Word of God must go beyond your mind to your spirit before it can prosper you.
But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
Faith and reasoning don’t walk together. Capture every thought and make it obey the Word of God. God knows how to bring His Word to pass—yours is to believe and speak the Word, and God will surely fulfill His Words.
If you trust God, He knows how to settle all that concerns you. Don’t let the devil distract you from the Word of God. If you don’t take sides with the Word of God, you will be defeated.
As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:30-32
The Word of God is the TRUTH—it will set you free from every problem.
When you reject the truth, you will live in lies. Once you become allergic to the truth, you are in darkness. When you let the Word of God change you, you will soar. If you love Jesus, you will love His Words. Jesus is the living Word explained by the written Word [the Bible].
Lies are from the devil, and just like the devil, they have a very short life span. But the Truth—the Word of God lasts forever!
